Euro-PvP Revival & Multi-League Hub

I am launching a new community to revive Euro-PvP and serve as a central hub for all Diablo II PvP leagues. The goal is to create a single, organized location for dueling, tournaments, and league coordination.

About Euro-PvP
Euro-PvP (EP) is one of the longest-standing legit dueling communities in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, founded during patch 1.09 by Rostedt. The community is known for:

  • Fair, rule-driven dueling (rules located on the site)
  • Structured tournaments with a seasonal component
  • A focus on skill, discipline, and competitive integrity


The community continues that legacy while expanding to include multiple leagues and formats.

EURO-PVP RULES SUMMARY
Below is a condensed ruleset for use in leagues, ladders, and tournaments hosted under Euro-PvP standards. Full rules and clarifications are in the community rule section (PM me for invite).

GENERAL RULES
  • Fair play: no naked killing, shrines, potions, mercs, corpse-guarding, or un-cleared maps.
  • Duels in Normal difficulty, Blood Moor. Start positions: Cold Plains WP vs Rogue Encampment exit. Start on “.go”.
  • Rules only apply when they affect the duel (example: Slow allowed if your attacks cannot trigger it).
  • No stash prebuffing; all precasts must be reachable mid-duel. Druids may regear after transform.
  • Inventory must be full of charms/arrows/throwing weapons; no equipment/Cube inside.
  • Belt must be filled with ID scrolls.
  • Leaving Blood Moor = death (accidental teleports exempt).
  • No hiding, camping, or stalling to regen life/ammo.
  • Gear swaps allowed only from pre-match stash.
  • Each side may reject 1 map; bridge maps auto-rejected.
  • No third-party programs.
  • Screenshot requests must be honored immediately. Leaving game when asked = loss.
  • Charm/equipment checks must be done in-game without visiting stash.
  • No intentional lag/desync creation.


Special
  • Rejoin allowed only for resist/GA bug. Any other leave = loss.
  • Amazons may not return to town for arrows; stacks may be placed in Moor.


TOURNAMENT RULES
  • If a player drops: 15 minutes to return.
    – 1v1: failure = loss.
    – Team fights: continue without dropped player until round ends.
  • Match time limit: 60 minutes. Finish current round.
    – Playoff ties = 1 extra round.
    – Group-stage ties remain ties.
  • Players may represent only one team. Judges may approve replacements.


PENALTIES
  • Minor violation: –1 round + forfeits for affected rounds.
  • Major violation: Full match loss.
  • Additional penalties may include disqualification.


CLASS DEFINITIONS (Tournament-lock)
  • Javazon: >1 point in Javelin/Spear; max 1 in Bow tree.
  • Hybrid Amazon: Any Amazon not qualifying as Javazon; cannot use Jav/Spear skillers.
  • Blizzard Sorc: Uses Blizzard; no Frozen Orb.
  • Orb Sorc: Maxed Orb; 1 point in Blizzard/Glacial Spike/Ice Blast; no Blizzard use.
  • Elemental Druid: >10 points in Tornado or Armageddon; no shapeshift.
  • Melee Druid: Uses Werebear/Werewolf.
  • Hybrid Assassin: No trap skillers; claws ≤ +3 Traps or +3 LS (not both). Max 64 FCR.
  • Trap Assassin: Any non-Hybrid Assassin.
  • Active vs Passive Paladin: Charge for attack vs Charge for movement only.


BANNED ITEMS & MODS
  • Banned runewords: Faith, Grief, Infinity, Phoenix, Spirit (weapons), Doom, Insight.
  • Banned mods: Slow Target %, Knockback, poison charms, skill charges, CTC Amp or Life Tap (exceptions: Barb/Trap Sin/Melee Druid).
  • Teleport from Enigma not allowed unless specified.
  • No bugged items.
  • No eth items without Indestructible/Self-Repair (exceptions apply for non-melee).
  • Max 2 facets/element (Lightning –ELR counts as 2).
  • Item aura-on-equip banned unless allowed.
  • No Paladin defensive aura charms.


STRENGTH BUG RULES
  • Must equip all items without slot-switching or strength charms.
  • Only gloves + belt may be strength bugged.
  • Weapon/armor/shield/helm must be visible (except Sorc/Ele Druid when teleporting).


REPLENISH LIFE LIMITS
  • Teleport users: 0 Replenish Life.
  • Assassin (traps) & Passive Paladin: 22.
  • Others: 30.
  • Prayer/Cleansing/Meditation count as: 15 RL (TvT), 30 RL (1v1).
  • CTA Replenish Life counts as normal.


LIMITED SKILLS
  • Amazon: Javazons cannot use Multishot.
  • Assassin: WW allowed for Hybrid; no WW lock.
  • Barbarian: No Leap. WW lock rules same as Assassin.
  • Necromancer: No Clay Golem or Iron Maiden.
  • Paladin: No Holy Bolt; Prayer max = 1; no Meditation for Passive Charge builds.


DR & FR/W CAPS
(Items/charms only; skill-based run is uncapped.)
  • Caps vary by class (Amazon, Barb, Necro, Paladin, Druids, Assassin, Sorc, Teleport users).
  • Refer to full table when needed; base standards preserved.


RESIST & ABSORB RULES
  • All resist cap rules include total sources (items, charms, quests, Fade).
  • Barb Natural Resistance does NOT count toward caps.
  • Energy Shield/Cyclone Armor count as 1 absorb (except NV).
  • Cold, Fire, Lightning, and Poison limits follow the established Euro-PvP tables.


1v1 HIGHLIGHTS
(Condensed — full matchup rules apply.)
  • Amazons: RL limits; throw restrictions vs Barb; FRW limits vs Necro.
  • Assassins: No SW/SM vs many matchups; BoS/HB restrictions vs Druids; claw restrictions vs Paladin.
  • Barbarians: DR caps vs different classes;
  • Druids: Hurricane/Cyclone Armor restrictions; DR options vs Melee Druids;
  • Necromancers: No Wall/Prison vs most;
  • Paladins: No regen auras; multiple Smite/Conc restrictions; limited HF use.
  • Sorceress: Some restrictions on combinations


TEAM VS TEAM (TvT) RULES
  • 1v1 rules do not auto-apply unless stated.
  • One backup per team; same class.
  • Aura-on-equip items allowed (unless banned above).
  • CTA allowed except on teleporting characters.
  • Conviction teams: max 2 elements; 3 with Lower Resist (Cold counts as 2 under LR).
  • Class-specific limits apply (Amazon Slow Missiles, Druid Hurricane/Cyclone Armor, Necro Prison limits, etc.).


2v2, 3v3, 4v4 special conditions (Condensed)
  • 2v2: Necro+Druid → no Amp; Necro+Barb → no Decrepify; no Cyclone Armor.
  • 3v3: Team with Ele Druid + Necro must choose Oak OR Amp.
  • 4v4: Ele Druid cannot Oak with BO Barb; pet limits; TG+Lo alternative allowed vs full tri-sorc teams.

Thanks, I forgot I could link that. I revised that a bit to (I allow fort as an example), but that is the baseline it was modified from.

A non-teleleague (besides sorc/windy druid). There is a space here that wont compete from the other teleleagues out there to exist. For the gear junkies out there its a new problem to be solved.

I hit up D2G to see if I could run a section there (will see).

Community Announcement — League Start (January 2026)

We’re excited to announce that **league action will officially start in January 2026**.
Launching with the new year allows us to properly prepare, recruit, and ensure everyone is ready for a competitive and organized league season.

This is a great opportunity to optimize builds, test setups, and be fully prepared when league matches begin.

🗓 Tentative Dates: 10–11 Jan 2026 or 17–18 Jan 2026
(Final date depends on recruitment and signups)

🏆 Prize Pool: 1000–2000 FG, depending on format (2v2, 3v3, 4v4)

Wish I could edit some of the above information! Rules have been edited/refined since. Went back to banning Fort to keep the spirit of the league. Added rule discussion for modernization etc for D2R.

Again this is not just for EU, but for all players! PM me for information.
