At OP... what is your setup? is it end setup or climbing setup?

If you are climbing, then you would use "charge (base 1 point)" to enter and retreat your foes until you get teleport.

Once you can use this strategy effectively, you will be better in the long run(s).

Was using eth Death zerker axe and the rest of the gear were self found

Was doing really well and demolishing foes in hell but then i got nuked by fana dark archers in the pits 🙁 pretty much got 1 shotted with only 1k hp and zero DR

Fana + Amp or extra strong (forgot the wording) archers will rip most melee climbing characters without better gear... normally I would do pits with better gear and merc setup.

Guessing skeleton archers, or the rogue class?

Leech and phys dmg reduction I would say is needed with Life tap, zig zag charging in long corridors (tunnels) or walk speed and let merc go in front (if not a rogue).

Mausoleum and Tower can also get you killed off with that combination monster(s) ... range / fana / amp & extra damage.

Ouch. Pits can be rough purely due to those kinds of archer packs. I tend to avoid it on hell until I've got more health, CtA, better gear etc.

Stony Tombs is probably a good shout for that build though. Don't remember seeing any physical immunes there.
