Do you just want to belong to a group because you are lonely and hoping it will help you post prison experience?
My suggestion is not to get too involved with the christian beliefs because it will be difficult to undo them when you wisen up.

Don't need to believe in magic in order to be a good, responsible person.

That picture got you a warn? I'm a Christian and I find this funny.

That's why I don't post there at all, ever. It's an echo chamber over there.

If I had a genuine question about the Bible and I tried asking it there, boom warn. That's how dumb it is there.

I hear what you’re trying to say, but you’re making some assumptions about me that aren’t true. I'm not looking to ‘belong’ out of loneliness, and my beliefs aren’t based on desperation or magic. People can grow spiritually and still think critically.

I respect your viewpoint, but faith isn’t something I picked up blindly; it’s part of my healing and my personal growth after prison. You don’t have to agree with it, but dismissing it as something I’ll ‘undo when I wisen up’ is pretty condescending. We can disagree without putting each other down.

When children believe in the tooth fairy or imaginary friends its one thing when adults believe in magic its a different. You are free to believe what you want ofc but usually when +30 year old man thinks there is an imaginary sky wizard who created man out of dust and woman out of a rib in a magical garden with a talking snake literally then you have to question his sanity.

I am trying to not be condensending here but how would you tell a full grown man that santa isn't real without upsetting him?

Everybody comes to their own conclusions about faith, man. Some people read scripture literally, some symbolically, some not at all. But calling people insane for believing differently isn’t really fair. I don’t need you to believe what I believe, and I’m not here to convert anyone; just having a conversation. Let’s keep it respectful on both sides.

I showed nothing but respect and a healthy disagreement. You just choosing to see it as some kind of attack, its not.

My point is you can still enjoy life and be a good and wholesome person without the belief of a magical being who sends you to a pit of fire if you eat lobsters
Just like you can enjoy Christmas and have a happy family time without believing there is literally a fat guy in a red costume who magically squeezes into chimneys and rides on a sled pulled by flying reindeer.

I second for santa fellowship sub. We can all write to him and he will grant our wishes in form of presents under the Christmas tree.
