Berserk and WW end up with pretty much the same igg/min overall, as WW kills a bit faster, while zerk allows for an extra 450% gf on kill (both can hork with same gf%).
I had slightly better results with zerk, cuz on WW I was either shattering a few corpses with reaper merc, or having slower kill speed without it. WW has better QoL tho, cuz you can leech.
Letting merc kill is an option, can be a bit cheaper overall, nearly as much igg/min. Kinda boring tho.
Warcry, or whatever other strange build = bad idea.

Here's my preference for a trav zerker:

Grief PB 32+ ias, as high dmg as you can afford
6x Lem off-hand
enigma (non-sup MP/BP for low repair cost and no mouvment penalty)
2x dwarf 15 mdr (all you need to completely neglect dmg from hydras)
goldwrap (10ias on it means you reach max speed)
chancies or LoH (pretty much the same igg/min)
30frw, 80gf, light/cold res (bonus: other res, fhr, dex, mf), or some cheap infernos (but you don't need the fire res with 2x dwarfs, so its lower frw/gf)

Then, if using 2x 6 Lem weapons on swap, I like to reach 37fcr on gear.
Circ: 2barb / 20fcr / 30frw / 80gf (bonus: 2os, dex, str, life, mf, res) -> cham (+Lem if 2os)
Amy: 2barb / 17fcr / 80gf (bonus: str, dex, life, mf, res)

Other options on swap:
hoto
suicide branch Lem
magic 3 warcries 2os LemLem
mix and match, if it can help reach higher find item % and you value other drops than gold it's worth it.
Find item's lvl breakpoints: 20 / 22 / 24 / 27 / 29 / 33 / 38 / 45

Inv:
with both find potion and find item maxed, I like to reach 76% at lvl 33, which requires 2x warcries skillers with the above gear (ideally with 40gf).
Or 77% find item with 2x +3 sticks on swap and 1x skiller to reach lvl 38.
Filling inv with a bunch of dmg/gf charms + cube, or leaving some room to pick up stuff, you decide.

Merc:
a2 might
eAndy ed/ias jewel (+2 might, leech, reaching ias bp, psn nova = stops regen)
eAP CoH (no cold dmg, +2 to might, stacked res, 200ed to demons, leech, dr) much better than fort
eArioc's Needle (+4 might, as much dps as eBotD WP)

3k life after BO, then dump all in str
Start horking when there's 2-3 council members left (ideally the minions), your merc should be able to finish the job by the time you are done horking/looting/id'ing the others

If you have fast load times, leave/enter game in a4 to save the long town travel in a3.
If not, using 2x hoto on swap can be good, not only for the higher BO & find item %, but also for +6 to increase speed while in town and saving a few frames of tele/hork.

When a pet attacks a player, its dmg is modified by the same as pvp penalty, multiplied by 0.17
So if we look at the highest possible dmg from the max value of 1 bolt from lvl 10,
164*0.17 = 27.88 (rounded up to 28)

Then MDR is calculated before resist.
You get 30 mdr from 2x dwarf
28 - 30 = zero dmg left

Even if you are down to -100 res because of conv... 0 multiplied by 2 is still zero.
So it's the opposite of what you said.
If there is one aura you can target last, it's conv, because all other auras are more dangerous. But in reality it's extremely irrelevant... just kill whatever is in front of you, don't waste time chasing a particular member.
You need light/cold res. They deal a lot of it on attack, they're often light/cold enchanted, and also the Hierophants around are casting blizzard and lightning.

Howl is a skill for a berserker to use, now it only works on lower minion, not champions... Anyway, if you build this character class properly, you are able to GF / MF all level 85 areas and boss areas... and support 8 player games and kill off monsters with ease.

This is not just a Hell Trav GF build.

DO NOT use howl as a trav barb. You want them to come at you. You really don't want them to flee from you. You'd be loosing a lot of time if you start casting howl and chasing them.
This is not a pitzerker. I know the build is using the same skills, synergies and horking, but the gear and the strategy is completely different.

And if you want to play it as a pitzerker, then you would swap all GF gear for MF gear, make sure you have 105fcr (cuz you mostly tele when elite sniping) and THEN use howl to scare away the trash mobs so you can better target/hork the elites.
You wouldn't be farming areas lvl 85 and bosses (you can't hork bosses anyway). You'd be farming TZs when they're good, else going back to trav with GF gear and the previous strategy we discussed.
But OP is asking about GF trav barb, so let's keep on track here.

I use my barb to collect keys, trav is just a blah area for extra loot from horcking bods, damn, I can tele into pits for champions + etc, other lvl 85 areas and don't have to switch gear, and as for howl in trav, just block the doorway so they can NOT run out... caution though, their Panic state makes them deal 2x damage, that is how I killed off a level 91 bone necro that went pvp in pub chaos game... it was fucking hilarious.

As for Trav only horck barbs... talk about boring, you may as welll just use the original leap / merc killing barb instead of wasting a Berserker barb doing the same ol shit.

What's this?? Is this something new for d2r or what?

But had to agree somewhat on the monotony of trav runs, even if it is one of my fav things to do in the game. It's not fun doing it before you get to hell mode and start getting the bigger numbers. When you've gotten up and going properly, in hc, then it gets fun. But doing hundreds and hundreds of runs just to get there .. not so fun. That much is true.

I've decided, 100% ... ladder season i 2-3 weeks, i'm going back to the "meat and potatoes" xD quest bugged boss runs. Maybe only nightmare andy, hunting sojs. Would be kind of fun. Either that, or just general boss runs. I prefer diablo, no labyrinths, but i guess variation is not a bad thing.

I know it's "fixed" in d2r. And i guess that is a good thing. One should get the quest reward even if the quest is done.

Sorry bud, but your coloured (colored) responses are bad when using Bold on top of that shit, can not read your posts, never had, but YOU have made me "preview" your post/replies after deleting your color, bold, text BS replies. Take it as criticism or just plain truth that as Previewers, we have different SETTINGS and your posts are as bad as people posting links of their images over 1200 pixels and I can not even use Zoom in feature to see what items they are posting... now that is not how trades are to be done, give all viewers the option to see the image.

The whole game is monotonous since LoD, the new features are just fillings for what they removed, yet the game is just too damn easy.

What would happen if they return "Iron Maiden" in Chaos and going to Pindle for keys? Yup, good bye to a lot of melee builds right? Not even, it is based on strategy.

Simple method vs Caster Knights... tele on them so they cast Decrepify to remove other curses. Simple strategy, lure hoards of knights away, tele casters.

This is just one missing factor to the game, it doesn't need fancy stuff to make the game more enjoyable.

Lol, you too? I have zero problems reading the text. And everyone seem to be able to read it. And only troublemakers complain just to make my life miserable. I will not change the text size, font or anything.

But what was the x 2 damage in panic state thing about? That i originally asked about.

I didn't understand much of the other stuff you commented on. I don't find the entire game monotonous, just certain parts of it, as i described. If i found the game monotonous, i would play something else. I am not one if these millennial spoilt children that have extremely short attention spans.
