No its the other way around, they did a study where autistic and adhd kids were seated to watch a maths video vs starwars. There is a stark contrast if the story is shit no one has the patience to watch that. If video games had good story and cut scenes no one would be complaining.

I think this is accurate. Just because something is long doesn't mean we should automatically like it and be interested and on the edge of our seat the whole time. It's like movies, a lot of shitty movies that are hard to sit through, and you start to question if it's you that's the problem, then a really good movie comes out that blows you away and holds your attention the whole way.
A lot of crap is produced nowadays because they know people will buy it no matter what. Just a bunch of soulless cash grabs. In the old days, they had more passion for producing good content. It's all about pleasing shareholders nowadays.
