Its hard, I made life a lot better when I stopped drinking liquor 4 years ago. Still drink beer, but its pretty tough to black out on beer.

Unless you're drinking 7% beer like water and haven't drank in several months. (This happened to me a few months ago and I don't do that anymore, just a few 5% beers here and there)


edit: Just remembered that liquor was also involved, my bad. (Was at a bar drinking random shit with random people)

Yeah I had a close call when I didnt realize truly unruly was stronger and not just new flavors. Typically I drink pacifico so pretty tame.

The Philippines has a beer called Red Horse. It's 6.9%. At my peak of drinking, I could drink 4 liters of that in one night. I had a pretty high tolerance. People here drink the big 40oz/1 liter bottles because it's cheaper.

Yep I remeber drinking plenty of red horse and san Miguel over there.

Im pretty sure their alcohol content on the bottle was just a guess tho.

Did you get a nasty hangover from Red Horse too or just me?

I can get hangovers easily anyway, but that's one of the reasons why I only drink san mig light nowadays. I'm too old to be feeling like shit the next day, having poor quality of sleep and being tired as hell the next day.

Journaling helped

Especially when I was pissed and in a fuck everything mood.

I just bought a trapper keeper to put stuff in. I feel like a bad ass.

Finding religion didn't apply to me then so much as now, neither did AA/NA. Not saying it doesn't work for people, I just have my own irrelevant opinions on the AA/NA stuff

A good thing to do is try to stay busy, even if you don't/can't work, take up a hobby. At the time I did califgraphy a bit, cooking a lot, and coding for computers.

Needless to stay I stuck with cooking since I can share that with people. It's rewarding in its own way. I was selfish when I needed my stuff
