So I have a 3080ti Galax OC.
The GPU git temperature issues and the vendor suggested an replacement.
He first suggested a 4070 which I declined but I need to come up with suitable replacement that he will agree but also that will act with the same performance of my old GPU.


I thought about 5070ti pny.

What's your thoughts about it?
Think I should get different GPU?

if you can get a 5070 ti as replacement for your 3080 ti go for it as the rtx 5070 ti is better then 3080 ti

PNY brand as far as i know its not the best , but its not worse either , any brand and any tech can be good and long lasting or defective

check reviews in youtube , reddit and other sources for specific model rtx 5070 ti PNY you can get

usually gpu models like asus rog strix , msi suprim , gigabyte aorus are more premium have better cooling and perform a little bit better but also more expenzive then others

speaking on par , maybe the rtx 4070 ti 12 gb or rtx 5070 12 gb

Pny has been making gpus for a long time. They are just better known in the professional - server/workstation markets. They make quality gear close to MSRP. They use Nvidia architectures and pushed into the consumer market in RTX 40 series 50 series. GL HF

I wouldn't accept anything less than a 4070ti

Even a Rtx 5070 ( Non-TI ) is a pinch better than the Rtx 3070 TI.

But I got 3080ti, not 3070ti

Some Video cards required good cooling to work over a long period of time. Ti's defiantly use more power and need to dissipate more heat.

IMO if the builder is honoring the warranty, try not to twist the arm. They could tell you it's overheating because you did not clean the fans correctly or something.

the fans are cleaned.
the issue is from the HW itself of the GPU, not related to my use.

but I'm not sure I understood you answer, you saying 4070 is a decent replacment for 3080ti?

If I was you I'd take the last Gen 5070 TI series if you can afford/buy one you would get better performance overall on every aspect, also you won't be forced to upgrade for better in like the next year or so, and PNY are very good card be using them for a while and never had issue besides a thermals past change after a good clean up!
