Sure sure, I get in terms of efficiency. I have played a nova sorc, dual dream sorc, auradin, javazon ect in the past. I want to play stuff thats fun to play and dont care that much about efficiency. I was just wondering, in this specific case, whether there is an absolute gap between, say, a mavina bowazon vs a demon machine sorc - because they are entirely different beasts in the cash money department.

It's decent. Don't expect it to be a Javazon, Hammerdin or Nova sorc and you won't be disappointed. You also have a TON of leftover skillpoints that can go to survivability or charged strike + synergies. I personally like having Tstroke + Spirit on swap for better boss killing.

Mavina is a very nice starting point for a freezing arrow bowazon, but the build really takes off with Enigma (to position yourself for the best possible "pierces") and Infinity merc.
Don't let meta slaves decide what you play. If freezing arrow seems fun to you, go try it out. It is definitely viable, in fact it's better than most builds. It just isn't as good as the top meta builds.

If poor can use mavina with plague act 5 merc to proc lower resist. The proc isn't really relaiblr except for in cows. Put sazabi set + plague on him, run Round a bunch of cows, tele after herding(charge on circ or amy), and the moment lower resist goes off (almost instanty) u blow them up with gg pierce.

Poison dagger necro is surprisingly strong
