Things are not going to get better certainly under the current administration, Trump and family starting his term with a shit-coin and his own son being a strategic advisor to the two largest non-sports betting online markets, Polymarket and Kalshi.

I knew regulations were loose if you were not a "casino" but I had no idea it was that easy to circumvent. That being, you use real currency to buy fake currency, so that now that fake currency is not regulated as gambling with money, despite you being able to cash in and out with it. I don't gamble personally nor watch it so I am behind the times. But that's fucking pathetic.

But Coffee makes the point that there's just too much money for it to fall or be actually regulated in a meaningful way, pay the people that need to be paid, state taxes, etc.

Gambling doesnt need regulation it needs complete removal like firearms do. Theres zero net positive to society but it makes companies and the government too much money and allows dopamine for addicts so on it goes.

I used to be big time into sports, sports betting and fantasy leagues.
I abandoned it after I found out who the owners are and it's all a scam.

He talks about it in the video, but its wild that they can offer essentially free bets, $200 dollars of free bets for joining, or whatever promotion but if you did that with cigarettes or beer , how horrible would that look.

I don't understand how we don't view it through the same lense as cigs which are widely condemned now and its become less and less socially acceptable (aside from the rise of vapes).

It should be treated like cigarettes. Kids who smoke have bad parents, but adults who smoke are pretty cool. If you care that an adult who is not yourself smokes, you are a woman. All these things apply to gambling.

As an aside, you are also a woman if you vape. I think there's a lot more trans going on than most people realize, all you guys are out here acting like ladies basically all the time.

Definitely some degenerate behaviour there but no. Don't see too many d2jsp ads on ESPN or celebrities shoving bnp down our throats. Jsp is a restaurants backroom degen gambling den. Always will have those and those will always be little concern.

Yea yea prove me wrong and all that.

Both are a stain and society would see a massive uptick with both gone. But we cant get rid of vices because thats communist, we have to allow people to destroy themselves and each other.

Cigarettes and vapes: net negative
Alcohol: net negative

And now we have vices in the form of AI. Companions and instant pictures and video and shit. Cant wait to see where society goes after that gets monitized.
