I don't think users should expect privacy on these platforms. Even the ones where you are truly anonymous at signup, about 20 data points and most data brokers can align you to a PID
I think in cases like this transparency is good. When you have random 3rd world accounts masquerading as official government accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers it's important to see if it's legitimate or not.

The thing this sunlight is temporary as it doesn't stop those who got exposed from downloading and running a VPN and basically going back to lying.
