I think in cases like this transparency is good. When you have random 3rd world accounts masquerading as official government accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers it's important to see if it's legitimate or not.

But in general there's a ton of accounts that just misrepresent who they are for clout, monetization, propaganda, w.e. The thing this sunlight is temporary as it doesn't stop those who got exposed from downloading and running a VPN and basically going back to lying.

Great initiative. Sad Elon is backtracking with “regions”, removing “original country of registration”. Hiding this option for all these official accounts is also odd.

Think all forums should offer this type of transparency. Would be fun to see especially for people who post on PARD
