I feel like frw is the most overlooked stat on ww barbs/bvcs

if you have massive FRW, smiters and hammers can barely hit you

you can easier land hits vs traps, druids, anything.

however, enigma, diadem and gores (105frw) are not enough.

anyone knows how much is required? probably 10-20x 3frw/3/20 scs?

Yes

But are the best barbs actually running these? You miss massive amounts of life

I think it’s kinda overrated cos you get 75 frw from gear and another 35+ efrw from increase speed

The 35 efrw would be like 46 frw or so if it’s applied first (pretty sure efrw is applied before frw)

Anyhow that’s like 120 frw which is more than enough imo

But it helps a lil yea

Frw sc’s is surely a waste of stats on barb

ChatGPT says the frw from increased speed is bad if u alrdy have 105 frw from gear.

Not sure. 20points into it are worthless due to diminishing returns, but 10 seem to be okay

I’d assume chatgpt is wrong here cos there’s only 2 scenario’s

Efrw is applied first which means 35 efrw is 46 frw

Efrw is applied last which means 35 efrw is 162 frw

I’m like 99,99% sure it’s the first one though, but skill “frw” is always more useful than item frw

Either way having a skill that gives you frw would also mean frw from items is even less valuable

Frw is nice on a diadem but I would never sacrifice life on small charms for extra frw

But yea I would rather put a few more points into the skill than getting the charms personally, a few hard points isn’t bad at all

It’s neither one nor the other.
EFRW is a fixed value.
1% EFRW = 0.06 yd/s

As we have a base walk speed of 6 yd/s (and run speed of 9 yd/s) we can notice that 100% EFRW doubles our walk speed, but it would require 150% EFRW to double our run speed.

It’s the sum of all skills EFRW, minus mouvement penalties from medium/heavy armor & shield, minus slows, then you can add the converted value of FRW from items to this total EFRW, no matter the order.

Source [Player speed modifier] +Maximum
Faster Run/Walk [ (150 * FR/W) / (150 + FR/W) ] +149
Burst of Speed min(15 + [55 * [ (110*slvl) / (slvl+6) ] / 100] , 70) +70
Frenzy min(20 + [180 * [ (110*slvl) / (slvl+6) ] / 100] , 200) +200
Increased Speed min(7 + [43 * [ (110*slvl) / (slvl+6) ] / 100] , 50) +50
Feral Rage min(10 + [60 * [ (110 * ( [slvl/2] + 3) ) / ( ( [slvl/2] + 3) + 6) ] / 100] , 70) +70
Vigor min(7 + [43 * [ (110*slvl) / (slvl+6) ] / 100] , 50) +50
Blaze (D2R only) [2*slvl] +120
Delirium [+33] +33
Body armor speed penalty [0/-5/-10] -10
Shield speed penalty [0/-5/-10] -10
Cold length [-50] -50
Holy Freeze min(-25 + [-35 * [ (110*slvl) /(slvl+6) ] / 100] , -60) -50
Decrepify [-50] -50
Slows Target [10-50] -50

Go over that list in any order and you get your final speed.

Charge is not affected by FRW, but is using this formula:
(Base run speed * 100+max(Speed, -50) /100) + (Base run speed * 1.5). So it has a base value of 22.5 yd/s, which is the equivalent of +225 EFRW.
To put things in perspective, you would only get +149 EFRW if you could get 22,350% FRW from items.

Hmm so skill frw is entirely seperate from gear frw? In that case frw on diadem would help a bit more
