Abortion is an option for those who wish to terminate pregnancy, and while it does result in the end of development/life of the fetus in a majority of cases, there are also rare instances like those in the OP where it terminates pregnancy (the state of being pregnant) but the fetus/child remains alive. My personal viewpoint is that people retain the right to bodily autonomy under virtually all circumstances, including pregnancy, and so abortion isn't murder to me. Once that bodily autonomy has been achieved, and the pregnancy has been terminated, I do think it makes sense that people have a responsibility to not neglect the life that now exists independent of their body in the rare instances like something in the OP happens.
I see, I can't help but disagree here. I'm all for something like the day after pill, but if you become pregnant while you had windows of opportunity to not become so, as well as knowledge as tracking your cycles or the man wearing condoms, etc, that both entities who created the child should bear the responsibility of the life they brought into the world.
The way I see it, you care more about those who are in the power of the relationship of parent and child.
