Maxey and Edgecomb are #1 and #2 in the NBA in minutes per game.

It'll scale down as McCain makes his return and gets off his minutes restrictiction, and the same goes for Paul George. At full strength they won't need them to play so much, although Maxey's stamina is unreal. He plays huge minutes in these games and doesn't even look like he broke a sweat in the post-game interviews.

Defense has been improved for a while now. He's just smaller. Like Brunson. Mitchell, etc same defensive limitations as them against bigger guards.

Maxey plays good aggressive defense for his size though. Almost 2 steals and a block per game at his height. He will just always get taken advantage of against bigger guards, like many of the other shorter guards around the league.

That's why VJ is a great fit next to him. Already a great defender 😎
