Ive been to the PI a handful of times but only the shitty parts like subic bay. That place gave me a stronger appreciation for the states. It was fun but that's real poverty. There were kids constantly running up to us begging for money. Grown men trying to sell stuff or scam people out of their money and prostitution everywhere. I haven't been back since like 2014 or 2015. It was a blast tho money goes a lot further there.
Oh wow, that's awesome. Were you here for the sex tourism? That's mostly what people come to the Philippines for and I know subic is a hub for that. Not everywhere in the Philippines is like that though. It's a poor country but not everywhere has beggars and scammers and stuff. I've lived in so many places in the last 11 years. I've lived in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. I was legit worried about living in Mindanao because of the terrorists there, but I felt safe in CDO.
