As a European, I never understood the extreme positions in the US about abortion. Late abortion is dangerous to the mother. 27 weeks is almost 7 months. That's murder, no questions asked. You can't call it "abortion". Most doctors in Europe would refuse the procedure. What that woman did is even worse, she let it suffer before dying.
Abortion should be allowed after rape or if the mother is in danger. In all other cases, condoms and pills exist. If you are not willing to use contraception, you're responsible for the choice you've made.
"My body, my choice" should be interpreted as "don't have unprotected sex with randos" and not I fuck around, kill babies, damage my own body then pretend it's freedom.
It stopped being a debate when they started banning different forms of contraception. All this policy is simply in place to punish the poor and minorities and to control women.
