Tiny side story: Many years back and when my father texted me that he and his friend were ready to be picked up, I met them at the rendezvous. Got out to help them with their gear. It was late Autumn so the leaves covered the ground with all that brown, auburn, and orange colours. As I am grabbing their gear, my dad asked 'What about the deer?' Its fur made it camouflaged with the forest floor's leaves, soil, and fallen decayed tree trunks. Duh! They laughed. :blush:
Haven't got mine yet, someone in the group got one and this group is a bunch of old men... and me of course
That being said I was automatically required to attend the pack out. Second pack I headed back to truck with I ended up weighing it at 172lbs. All the old men were crying about their 35lbs
Damn near died on the second trip. From the truck to the elk and back was 4 miles, and I'm no small feller
