TRAP GAME OF THE WEEK: Lions @ Eagles
Don't fall for it. This line screams trap, and here's why the sharps are fading Detroit:
The Setup:
Lions sitting as +1.5 to +2.5 depending on your book
Coming off a dominant performance against Washington
Dan Campbell taking over playcalling duties (endless media coverage)
Everyone talking about Eagles "surviving" the Packers in a low-scoring grind
Why It's a Trap:
The narrative is TOO perfect for the Lions. When was the last time the books gave you free money on an obvious play?
AJ Brown "drama" - Media manufactured controversy to make Eagles look distracted
Campbell hype machine - His playing history against the Eagles plastered everywhere this week. They're selling you a storyline, not value
Recency bias - Lions looked great against a Commanders defense that's been swiss cheese. Eagles defense is an entirely different animal
The "struggling" Eagles - Yeah, they survived the Packers. In Lambeau. In a defensive slugfest. That's not weakness, that's toughness
Line movement - Books know the public is all over Detroit. They're BEGGING you to take the Lions
The Reality:
Eagles are 10-2 with one of the best rosters in football. Their "struggle" was winning on the road in a hostile environment. Meanwhile everyone's crowning the Lions for beating backup QBs and bottom-tier defenses.
Fade the public. Take the Eagles.
Didn't read, taking the Lions to win in a blowout.
