How do I work around this? Every link provided from support results in this error. I’ve tried different browsers, IP, deleted cookies, temporarily disabled firewalls, I don’t understand. It’s not possible that it’s expired as I access the link within moments of receiving it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. 60fg tip for a method that works. 🙏

no workaround exist its a known bug. when i register an account within 1 minute i jump into the email and click the register button.

So the only working way is when it’s done initially upon account creation? Channel chat and game chat are the only methods I’ve tried. While I’d hate to start over, if this is the only way to ensure avoided errors when clicking the link in email, reckon I’ll have to.

i was trying to re-register an account that failed a few months ago then and completely randomly it worked on that one account and none of the rest. the very best thing you can do is have diablo 2 in window mode so you can jump into the email. i have had it in window mode for 2 decades lol. in a channel make the registration request and jump into the email like i am in and out then back into the email within 10 seconds or it will break. this is the only way i have found it to reliably work. so do workarounds exist? lol not that i know of. if all else fails you might have to let the account expire then register it and that is not good as someone else could grab what ever the account name is. i would hold on to the account and continue to test if you can register it.

I just tried, it gave an error, but the account seems to be registered, even though it still shows as unregistered when I relog back in.

Upgrading tip to 2kfg for anyone with superior knowledge/trusted to potentially do a 1 time fix/workaround on broken customer support links from battle.net/blizzard that results in me accessing the link successfully. Idk if its even possible but can't hurt to ask. <3

its not linked and its actually dangous in you can get locked out with no way to reset password. might as well close the topic at this point its a known issue with no workarounds.

That’s exactly what happened. Was able to get the email registered through support ticket since links dont work in email. Upon them registering my email to the account, the password was changed. Attempted to use “Account Recovery” and you guessed it, unable to recover account. 2 tickets and one month later, still have not obtained access to my account even with proof of purchase, keys utilized to access the account, screen shots of emails, IP, ID .. support for legacy does not exist.
