I do, fighting over you n shit
Then they have to kiss and make up
Do I hear the word, "fighting", sir? Do you know what's the fighting-est of them all? That's right. The military. And I just happen to have a piece on them.
We shouldn't be resisting gun control all by ourselves. We should enlist some real fire-power, aka, the military.
I think we should reach out to the members of the armed forces, most of whom tend to be good people with a conscience. A lot of them are Christians. We need to explain to them about the overreach of the federal government as well as the feds. Show them that the government has been incrementally taking our guns away. Give real-world examples. I have known about militia groups, and while I think the idea behind them is good (the populace should always arm itself), nevertheless we must not treat the military like its our enemy. Yes the military is a part of the government, however it members are made up of people like you and me. They are not super-opposed to the people like, say, the FBI.
I say we should bring them our side, reach out to them like we do regular Americans, and do not antagonize them. Make them see things our way, non-aggressively. Actually I belive the benefits go far beyond opposing gun control. If we have the military's support, then we can in theory gain a lot of political power and clout. Plus some problematic agencies might be rendered less problematic now that we have the full might of the military behind us.It's like Chairman Mao said, political power grows out of the barrels of a gun. In fact, the fact the federal government has been trying so hard to put illegal brown people in the military, should tell us about its strategic importance. So I say, go forth and win the hearts and minds of every serviceman, service woman, private, general, and everyone in between. But make sure you don't come at them with what I call, " Revolutionary talk". Don't say things like how we need to fight the government or resist it. Always let them talk first, ask them questions, draw them out, and really, really listen. When you identify one who feels something is not quite right, someone who sees that the government is silently taking guns away, or just someone who is not happy with the current state of affairs, then you give him a friendly overture, and approach. The goal isn't full-blown conversion on the first try; rather, it should be to lower their guard and build rapport. "Soften" them up, so to speak. Tell him the way he feels is not only normal, it is in fact shared by many people. Point out that the current government does not care about his welfare. Give verifiable examples. And see if you can invite him out for a few drinks with your friends, the ones who are already public (this is so that if the FBI tries to follow you, they won't discover anything new). Have chats with him, have a few beers, show him that you and your friends are just regular people who want their country back on the right track. Again, don't worry if you can't get this done in one go. First make a friend of him, and this should give you plenty of chances to hang out together. Take it slow and make it happen organically. Don't jump the gun and shove things down his throat, as that will only scare him off.
