It's recycled mini game from rs3 it seems
It would need to be drastically different from player owned ports that is dead and boring content
Looking at the skill guide it may have alot of similarities and that's NOT good

I think they did say there will be a few new total lvl worlds, which would be nice.

ports in rs3 is literally just click once and wait X amount of hours to get rewards.
You just send the ships out and check back whenever, no actual gameplay at all, the only similarity it has, is you have a boat.

I think for normie accounts there will be only a handful of useful things for moneymaking, etc (although everything will be good right at the start of course).
But for an IM, I think it adds a lot of new variety to some aspects of the (existing) game (some of the islands seem quite useful) as opposed to just being an outright new skill with it's own new aspects.

Only thing I'm slightly disappointed about is the pet being a turtle instead of the lil guy with the shipwreck bottle :lol:
