All my shit is gone now more then likely even all the main characters and runner's cuz it's been a few months since I've been able to get on

It's less work for you to do it that way than any other way. Invest 30 minutes and it's done.

I am actually surprised how this game died, it was so popular and then one day... it just wasn't, I figured D2 would be popular forever due to the PVP but maybe people just got bored, I still have not found a better game than D2.

That said, USWEST is dead, that was my home, I login usually first day of each season, theres 3-4 people standing in a game, and NOBODY TALKS anymore, back in the day chat was always going, but nobody talks, I was so bored I didn't finish Act1, a few days later I logged in, saw 1 game, basically for drops, with 1 guy in it afk for hours.

I went to East, same thing, but maybe had 5-7 people away, not really playing, everyone is in private games using bots, which I am not going to do.

D2R is amazing and has a lively fun population, I'll be there on their next reset, I'll always have love for D2 but I dont want to just play solo, Diablo 2 is a social game.

I know what it is. You know it's like a good band, good hard rock, it's great when it's tight n new, they make killer tracks n all that. But then they sell out. The masses may like it, but the good hard core leaves it. N then it's like air. The same with d2. The good people that originally was loyal to it, deserted it, due to the botting. The botting is like the factories of the world, yes they make everything available, but the fun and the genuinity goes away. When you find something cool and good, it's like, everyone else has bought 10 of it from before. It's not fun anymore. So the true fun, for those of us true hardcore, is just playing the game for it's own fun.

But i of course agree, back in the day, always lots of public games, always someone to join a gang with, you could try different builds with different people. Those days are gone - in all fairness, due to the botting.

Agree with everything you write there except the last part. D2r is just a quick cash-in scheme and people are too dumb to realize it, i.e. again playing for the masses, a nice cash grab action for the owners. If they REALLY had cared about the origins, the genuine loyal fanbase that understood why D2 is a timeless masterpiece, they would 1) Kept servers bot clean, 2) At least tried to keep all realms to one realm, if possible, and 3) Try to make some new fun and genuine items and runewords to the game every so often. Not too often, maybe once or twice a year. Just to keep it interesting.

Those three changes would have been everything D2 needed to have a million players worldwide even still today. But they don't care. Just 5 full-time employers could have done that task. I personally would not hesitate to pay 1$ a month for that. And that would cover their wages n then some.

But no. Just bow to "force majeur". Need the quick cash-in to impress young girls with a new super yacht, instead of doing something for those that made them rich in the first place. It's a sad friggin world.

I'm glad I jumped back onto this forum after 15+ years. Forgot the password to my old account so had to make anew one. I was thinking about getting back on D2 LOD but after reading this i don't think I am.
