Hydras are aiming where people are, not where they move.
This means doing precisely Zero dmg in pvp.

IF you were fighting someone that sadly d/c’d or went afk?
Then hydras would still do precisely Zero dmg because low chip fire dmg can easily be completely negated from mdr/sorb.

You could maybe have a chance to win against a random afk noob that forgot to equip his gear… maybe… I would still bet on the afk noob tho

(A bit humorous, but still mostly true)

Build a normal ESFB sorc.
Use orb with +3 Hydra, or stat ONLY 1 point in it.

Its pretty usefull vs alot of matchups, for example hdin/smiter.
U basically meteor and hydra where ur standing to hide the meteor. The hydras will do some dmg, but its mainly to cover the ground while waiting to get stomped.
Its more of a annoyance/poke ability, and you should never try to base ur build on hydra dmg.

Alot of top sorcs use hydras, but will generally just have 1 point in it, or +3 orb.
The argument that fire dmg can be negated is kinda invalid, as if ur doing BM absorb, theres no sorc that can do any dmg anyways.

When you say orb are you referring to frozen orb for PvP? While using hydra?
