Still some chaos in the rapid fire SNAP changes. Some states started rolling out full benefit payouts, none did the 65% payouts. Some used state funds to cover any/all of it. Its unclear who did what. The USDA has ordered states to undo / refund payouts if they were for the 100%, but its unclear and presumably refers to those using federal funds, state funded ones may or may not be able to fund it, I mean that gets into this murky idea of having a federal benefit paid just using state funds when the federal statute doesn't allow payouts without appropriations. But its definitely a problem if any states were trying to pay funds that don't exist. And the USDA is saying it is still planning to pay the 65% benefits, but its unclear when. And the SCOTUS pause has another day left in it, then who knows what.
All this of course would be solved with 7 democrat votes
