Just me being snarky. I actually appreciate the honesty. I still think people should participate.

I do participate, I am just further down the road than you.
I believe the government has become tyrannical as described in The Declaration of Independence.
The Declaration of Independence asserts the people's right to overthrow a tyrannical government.
I also assert the founding fathers would agree with me.

Democrats in hardcore blue strongholds went more extremist, which stands to alienate moderate voters in the next few election cycles.
In swing states and some at-risk blue states or blue cities, they went for the most moderate candidates they could find and won, so simultaneously trying to swing back from the extremes where it could hurt them.

I've said many times its totally irrelevant to the next presidential election because anything 3 years prior might as well be 30 years prior, but it does give some inkling of the lay of the land for the midterms.
Democrats are still caught in a push and pull between their fringe and their center, and we just saw it play out. Republicans next year will be able to fearmonger over antifa commies when the liberals are running actual murderers and nazis for significant offices, like angela walker and graham platner both in maine. Having voices like Mamdani be the most visible front to your party is going to hurt them next year, now its just a question of whether they can reclaim the center. And I think at the current pace Republicans should be in for a thrashing over the economy even if Trump can bring world peace, and all Democrats have to do to win in 12 months is not spend those months carrying out mass terrorist attacks or murdering tourists or eating babies

The mayor of the small town of Coldwater Kansas (pop 687), Joe Ceballos, was re-elected on Tuesday and promptly arrested by Kansas AG Kris Kobach and charged with election fraud
Because Joe Ceballos is actually Jose Ceballos, a citizen of Mexico not the US, and illegally voted in at least 3 elections and illegally ran for office
Kansas has a trust-based voter registration system with basically no checks for illegal aliens, and once they were able to audit the voter rolls with the federal SAVE system they found illegal aliens registered to vote including the mayor

after reading this all i can say is its clearly fake news. we have SAFE elections in the USA. safe and fair. we're a DEMOCRACY. there is NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE an illegal immigrant can or EVER has voted in an election. also if you show your ID to vote in Cali you'll be arrested, we're just keeping it safe and fair out there. safe, fair, and above all LEGAL.

Meanwhile in Oregon, 1600+ illegal aliens were given driver's licenses and state registration cards that automatically registered them to vote even if they used a foreign passport as ID and declared themselves non-citizens.
And at least 39 of these voted in the 2024 election, and this week the Oregon AG has declared he will not allow state criminal charges against illegal aliens for voting in elections in Oregon
His reasoning is that because it was the state's 'mistake' that granted them status, he would not pursue charges even if the state could prove they knowingly voted illegally by exploiting that 'mistake'.

Now opening the door for states to grant their aliens the right to vote by simply refusing to enforce voting laws or cooperate with federal prosecutors
