In my childhood days, I kept salamanders. We had a huge tank and there were many ponds nearby to find what they needed for their environment.
This lizard eating a fig is beautiful!

Idk where you are but we had same thing in the northwest. I used to have like 5 of them guys in a tank.

ya when i was a kid i had all kinds of critters in jars n aquariums :) thought critters were fascinating

Yeah they were everywhere where we used to go fishing so they were pretty easy to catch and they tamed surprisingly easy.
