A lot of decisions lead to a cumulative result. You need a lot of experience since there are so many different Spells/Champs/damage output. Skill ceiling on micro mechanics are quite high, and the science of wave management and macro is not easy as well.

its not, most of the community left are seasoned players who spent years in there, matchmaking is shit allowing waste of community to make "smurfs" and play with u, it took them 15 years to make a fix and its still not in game yet
come back when 25.26 rolls out, best even later after like 25.27 when all the human failures are banned at all their accounts at once, breathe the sign of relief

Also that you need a specific champ that is in the high tier and stick with it. I see most people stuck in gold who are very decent players but plays over 30 champs without a main and rotate every game. Like don't lock in a champ just because you like him or because someone crushed with him in your previous game.

I played mid and adc last season and peaked d4 when I sticked with my main and never played any other champs at all.

Pick a champ and master it, choose a safe 2nd pick until you develop every possible reflexes to any encounters.

When you hop in high emerald and low diamond, everyone has minimum 250K+ Mastery on their picks and most have over 500K+.

This is your opinion bro and I agree 5%, maybe 4%.
Back in seasons there was not even the possibility to pre-select a role, you just had to adapt, you could not even ban a champ if you were not 1st pick. Skill overall (from P5+) was insanely higher than today because people were actually forced to play the game.
Then they added 5 bans.
Then they added role pre-selection.
Then they added map timers.
Then they added bounties.
Etc.
The whole system now is designed to let whoever reach atleast Diamond 4 or higher, even if you play casually and with 0 effort.
Result? People (like I suppose you are) with 0 will of learning the true game and just spamming games to flip-farm LP.
Back in the days not everyone was able to reach Diamond, and if you managed to reach it, fuck yeah you were one of the good ones. Nowadays if you reach Master 300 LP you are a "lowmasta" meme.

So my point is: if you wanna farm LP, abuse the system like this guy is suggesting.
If you wanna really get an higher elo, take your time and learn the true game, if you fail you will be anyway satisfied because you pushed to your limit.

I'm diamond in 3 roles with no more than 150k on a single champ, if I played 2kk on a single champ could I be Master/GM? Maybe, does it mean I would be a real Master/GM? Hell no, I would be just a diamond with 800 extra LP.

you are right homie ! but that doesn't invalidate what I suggested.

Don't lock in a champ you barely play and focus on a main and a safe 2nd pick. Some people are able to master multiple class champs, but for people like op and I, pick a champ you like and stick.

The 10 bans (2017) and pre role selection and bounties has been here for a while now. Game is not the same as 2017 and diamond is only top 2.4% of gamers. Still high skilled gamers imo.

I would like to add to all of this:
there are 2 major things that break the skill in league of legends (this is my opinion, i'm not out to get a witch hunt after me...)

- bounties
- motivation

when you destroy your opponent in lane and go 4/0 with all platings and the tower, you should be so incredibly far ahead (btw, platings are part of the problem too) that you should be able to 1v5 a game. You demonstrated that you are significantly better than the rest of the lobby (unless someone else did something similar, in which case the game should be even again). That said, this is absolutely not the case in current day league of legends. You have incredible stats, you made sure the enemy nasus has 50 stacks at 10 minutes, you're doing great as a top laner! now you chill a bit. You roam, you do whatever to push your lead to other lanes, then the bounty system kicks in at 14 minutes. This gives so unbelievably much gold back to the losing team, that all you did and proved in the early game becomes meaningless. Exp is the next thing you can win off, oh never mind... catch up exp is a thing. Riot implemented as many fail-safes to make games last over 30 minutes as possible. So what does this toplaner do who won his lane like crazy? he gets kicked in the ass by the nasus who (by now) has 300 stacks, the same level (perhaps 1 level down) and outscaled you with all the bonus gold he got. What does this to the toplaners mental/motivation? "i won my lane, i'm so much better and stronger than his noob" *ally has been slain* - "omfg... why is my team doing nothing..." - *ally has been slain* (again) - "I DON'T WANNA PLAY ANYMORE, I WON MY LANE SO HARD, BUT FUCKING TEAM DIFF".

The problem with this system is that the toplaner is both right and wrong. he won his lane, he should have a substantial lead for the rest of the game, but after a few minutes things are even again because of the bounty system. It feels like you did everything for nothing and then you get tilted. you run it down thinking you're still as strong as (in my opinion) you should be, but you're not, so you die.

It's the everlasting frustration that you got first tower, help your team at dragon, helped your team ahead and now you look at toplane and nasus is bashing your inhibitor.

to truly 1v5 still exists, no doubt, but it takes a master player to do it in lower elos and thats rediculous. A gold level player in silver will never see the gold rank. An emerald player in silver will get frustrated about how long it takes to get to gold or plat. They can do it, but it takes too long.

now with all this in mind, lets introduce smurfs who start in silver 3 with +38 and -12 (even after a 6 game losing streak). If you read all this and want to reply to me, please reply mostly on this last statement. i'm very curious to have an indepth, no hate conversation on everyone's opinion on this.
