Clubs are least valuable
Melee staves are second least valuable (staves with EE)
Swords are more valuable than both of these.
Axes and daggers are most valuable.
Heavies are very expensive because of how rare they are.

Robes are most expensive of the 3 armor types (heavy, medium, and light). Padded is more desired than plain robes.
Mediums (leather and scale) are a bit less expensive but still very valuable.
Heavy (chain and plate) is least valuable but if they have high EE they can be useful.

All charms have value but generally lightning and wild heal have higher demand than the rest.

The reason for all of the above is because of the classes and what each class can equip. Not many classes can equip heavy armor. Only a couple classes can use clubs, hence why they’re in low demand thus low value. Etc etc

Now, the stats on the items… it gets more complicated from here. Best advice I can give is to play the game and read some guides. But mostly just play the game for a bit and you’ll develop an intuition for what’s good and what’s not.

pwb3 gave more precise information.

I will just add on.

Robes: Once you get to Monk onwards, none of the unlocked characters can use Heavy Armor, and only the Headhunter can use up to Leather and Scales... thus some people will pay a lot for Scales with the right Modifiers... basically Feeder, Samurai & Paladin can use Scales as well, so they can be used from reset.

Lightning & Wild Heals are the only 2 charms a Headhunter can use, however 99% of the rest of the characters can too... only the Guardian can not hold any Damage cast charms (Lightning etc)

Heavy weapons are rare, but some people do like to use them, the base damage is double compared to the counter part... Lonsword vs Sword, Club vs Warhammer etc. Most sort after is Battleaxe... not sure on others opinions on heavies, but I use them a lot, so my order of preference is;

Longsword: Feeder, Samurai, Paladin can use.
Battleaxe: Feeder, Paladin and Headhunter can use.
Spear: Feeder, Monk and Ninja can use
Polearm: Feeder & Paladin
Warhammer: Feeder & Paladin

I pretty much play all my characters, I do not concentrate on building one character, so I no longer try to reset ladder or unlock a headhunter, thus I pretty much end up with Paladins, haven't found enough gear for Monk setup, so I hardly play them.

To each their own, hope you enjoy the game and keep at it.

As a general rule of thumb;

Weapons youre looking for EE or INT (separately). There are many other side mods that can raise the value of the item. But at a minimum it needs 1 of these stats.

Armors youre looking for EE or INT or STR or DEX. Same here side mods.

Charms youre looking for EE or STR or DEX. Side mods also apply here.

Value of all 3 will change depending on which type of weapon/armor/charm it is. But these are your absolute basic rules of thumb for valuable items that youre gonna look for.

Items lvl 20 or lower youre going to look for perfect/near perfect to get value. The higher you go the farther from perfect will still be valuable. Ex; a 55 item has max ee of 280 (300 with overspawn) but a 150ee 55 can still fetch decent value. However a lvl 30 item has max ee of 180 (200 overspawn) but it will fetch no value at 50ee.
