Bro its literally tap water in a bottle. They dont go to some pristine spring in the mountains to collect that shit. It all comes from some river/lake just like the rest of the country.

I personally try to drink pure rainwater if I can.

I wouldn't say rainwater is pure. I used to think that until a few years ago when I picked some fresh snow off the ground (none that actually touched anything) and dumped it in my bathtub. when it melted there was so much dirt and minerals left behind.

Maybe it was black ice? No in all seriousness pure rainwater in a non polluted area is very clean. I inspect my water tanks once a month and they are crystal clear. Additionally I have a filter to further insure its safe.

i mean, i tested portland snow. but it was snow that fell from the sky and should be in a sense pure, but it's not. I figured snow was always fine if you take from what doesn't touch the ground or anything. But it still had a lot of nasty stuff in it.

Next time try collecting water when it rains. Maybe snow is different. I never tried melting it for drinking.
