You don’t get to choose how a nation reacts to an attack. That goes back to my original point - if you can’t handle the response then don’t provoke.

Again, I don’t agree with harming civilians on purpose. I’m just stating basic guidelines to live by. You never know how someone is going to react to a provocation. It’s best to not provoke.

So international law is just not a thing then?

That’s correct.

Who’s enforcing it? If we (the USA) breaks international law, who can hold us accountable?

No one.

International law is a bunch of BS and it really only means something if other countries CAN and will enforce it.

Israel doesnt target civilians, Iran, Hezbollah, Iraq, Yemen and Hamas does.
Yet some how we are on the stake for these BS claims

Because your high ranking officials call palestinians human animals and they must be destroyed. Leading members of your government said they would gladly starve them all to death.
because israeli soldiers brag about harming and killing civilians and destroying infrastucture and trying to bury full ambulances with dead medical personal, then lying about it.
because israel is an apartheid state and is illegally taking territories with force (west bank + syria)

so yea, if you don't want to be compared with terrorists maybe, i don't know, stop acting like them? what a weird concept, i know.

It’s not an opinion, it’s fact. International law only applies to less powerful subordinate countries.

Again, didn’t say it’s right, it’s just how the world works.

Who can hold the USA or China accountable? If you can answer that then we can discuss international law being relevant.

Mexico has laws - does the cartel abide by them?

Laws require competent enforcement to have any effect.

At the end of the day it would be the politicians that's democratically elected that hold countries accountable for their actions.
Like the US & Europe putting sanctions on Russia, Iran and european countries have started putting sanctions on Israel (finally).
In turn, if the US went absolutely nuts and started bombing civilians (like israel is doing) i would hope europe, and the rest of the world, would first sanction the US and make trade with them illegal. Just like the world should sanction Israel right now.
Then after a new election the newly elected US government officials should turn over it's accused war criminals to the international court (that they currently ARE members of) and they should be tried in accordance with international law.

that's how it's supposed to work and sometimes does work, if the US wasn't israels little bitch.

That’s lovely. But if the country doesn’t need your money or trade, then what? Do you think the USA would collapse without international trade?

Also, if it’s INTERNATIONAL LAW, why don’t other countries just put sanctions on Israel? Just because the USA won’t it doesn’t mean that other can’t, since it’s international.

Lol well that’s not true. There’s no legal framework for the USA handing over “it’s war criminals” to the ICC. Suddenly creating this legal framework in order to hand over your political enemies to a foreign body for prosecution would be treasonous.

The ICC is a political tool and everyone who engages in war is guilty of war crimes if you don’t like them. This is why America does not recognize or humor the right of the ICC or anyone else to judge American citizens.
