I was about that shoebox money for years. I would deposit about 600-1000 a week though for debit card mostly just so I could get gas after 11pm

Tommy being grossly misinformed as usual. Just did a quick google search and revealed that you can carry as much cash as you please in Netherlands. There is a new anti money laundering law taking in effect in 2027 where you cannot purchase certain items like art, jewelry, cars etc with cash over $3000.
