What's funny is I actually watched it before it's just about an underground tunnel to pass under the sea saving hours of commute time. It has nothing to do with anything conspiratorial. It's only purpose is to show we have the technology to create said underground ice base

I see. Well it does make sense that Lod would think something like that then. He's always taking normal everyday situations and putting crazy twists on them. Or just making up stories entirely.
