8 is pretty small did you happen to install games on portable ssd?
also is you ram cards installed in proper slots 1/3 or 2/4
and is your xmp profile turned on ? located in bios menu
are you hard wired in or on wifi ?
and lastly are your trying to run maxed out settings ?
or low settings
some time running higher setting can get your gpu to be used more might run smoother but that kind of if your having cpu and gpu bottle necking which you say is not the problem
also you made sure one drive isnt screwing with your setup aswell
maybe try running heavens gate and see what your score is aswell fortnite can have dips in fps when loading in or cahche for the first time or when jumping out of bus you could see fps drop there but once your landed its should be running at best fps
let us know what settings your using and confirm your running on your gpu and not your cpu sounds dumb but hey never know !
Like the guy above me said, i also suggest
Ram cards in slots 1 & 3, you can try 2 & 4 ?
Unless your motherboard only has 2 slots? then nvm ?
But yeah you also have to check bios is up to date, and also check that the clock speeds Match the stick speed, and or Setup your XMP settings.
Also if there is any Turbo settings in the bios for your CPU, try to disable that, and see if if makes a difference, if it does. then we can at least narrow down the problem.
So try a bios update.
Then try ram cards in slots 1,3 or 2,4 ( maybe even 1 card at a time ) .
then if still nothing, disable the cpu turbo in bios.
If that doesn't work, let us know. and we can probably suggest other things to look into that are slightly more advance.
hey guys! thanks alot for your time.
so ram blocks are in 2 & 4
here are specs on PC:
GIGABYTE B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI
ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX 5070
AMD Ryzen 5 7500F
Adata legend 800 1 tb NVME
DDR5-6000 / PC5-48000 DDR5 SDRAM UDIMM
i run on wifi
BIOS should be updated, i use amd ryzen master to update bios etc. ยจ
Hardware monitor software says all is fine, but it does also detect the fps drop :/.. i can try to switch the ram blocks? but seems wierd
