My family’s charity is building a new playground for an abuse shelter near me. We’ve had many opinions on what material to use for the ground based on many different points of view but kind of wanted some unattached opinions.

Interesting. Never seen it done like this.

Sand is soft, and break falls/safty
Its great against water/rain, drainage
And prevents dirty mud instead of grass
Sand shows where kids need to be alert

Grass around

Kids eating grass, sand and mudd, is alot more heathy then rubber or industrie waist products

not sand or mulch imo
stray cats use sand for litter and mulch is always gross to touch
gz on the charity btw

They definitely use sand like a Giant litter box.

Said around so i was picturing an outer ring so i went with mulch.

In elementary school, we had pea gravel.

I remember having to shake my shoes out.

We did a Disc golf course and a couple swings for the youth here in a city leadership class. Along with a Salvation Army haul for a month.
Was a good time, enjoy.
