Lets no argue it's validity and just assume that statement is 100% correct.
Would you care to explain to the entire class why that map varies so differently from the map of Israel today?
Your prior statement would also mean any expansion from the "British mandate of Palestine map" would be wrong and illegal, no?
The difference between those maps and Israel’s borders today isn’t about some illegal expansion. Hamas maps is pure propaganda because it leaves out all the real history and how the borders were actually formed.
Before 1948, the land was under British control, not some Arab or Palestinian country. In 1947 the UN offered a plan to split it into two states. The Jewish side agreed, the Arab side refused and went to war to stop Israel from existing.
Israel won that war, defended itself against five invading armies, and ended up controlling about 78% of the land.
Those borders were set in the 1949 armistice agreements and recognized internationally.
So no, Israel didn’t ‘expand illegally’. It fought for survival and kept the land it defended. That’s how most modern borders were created anyway.
The Hamas map pretends none of that ever happened. It paints Jews as land thieves and erases the real history to push a political agenda. That’s why it’s propaganda, not truth.
