Europe’s collective GDP — I’m including the UK in this, of course — is around 10.6 times greater than Russia’s.
That is a margin of superiority in raw economic strength over Russia that is greater than the margin of superiority that the whole of the transatlantic alliance enjoyed over the whole of the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War.
As long as EU/nato continues to provide mimlnimal support to Ukraine, Putin will not have any major gains,. At best keeping the 20% of the far east under ruski control.
Complete nonsense. The EU is drowning in debt, they're running deficits that they're unable to fix without people taking to the streets threatening to vote the establishment out of office because fixing the deficit means cutting expenses like welfare / pensions / schooling / etc
Russia's debt to GDP ratio is like 17% while they have massive gold reserves and natural resources. Once again you don't have a clue.
