no because tariffs actually bring in revenue a billionaire tax would do nothing cuz they are paid in stock and take loans against stock to avoid all tax. thats why i said we need to change how the system works to properly tax them.

I agree that the tax system needs to be changed in order for billionaires to no longer use tax loopholes. That is what I mainly mean when I say "tax billionaires". If that requires a tax overhaul, then do it. But, it doesn't help when the BBB that repubs passed literally cement in lower taxes for them.

You can't overhaul the tax system when repubs actively fight against it.

what if for people who get paid in stock they have to pay tax on it at the value its worth at the time of payment but no capitol gains tax later when you sell and no write offs for losses this would effect only the very top of earners with no harm to to the avg person.

Tax is theft as long as the public is not given a monthly or at least yearly audit detailing exactly where every penny was spent and showing the receipts.

1. Universal healthcare can only exist when we identify where we can actually save costs through nationalizing healthcare, and what kind of spending is unrealistic and unwarranted. An order of magnitude more spending is going towards doctors and nurses than to insurers, and replacing private bureaucracy with public bureaucracy is only going to be a marginal saving anyway. And no proposed system is remotely workable when 100% of democrats running for the top ticket are declaring they'll provide free healthcare to illegal aliens.
2. We already have gun laws we don't enforce and you want more laws that won't be enforced. In Minnesota we have a prosecutor who declares she won't enforce gun felonies stemming from traffic stops, except she goes ahead and charges white people with gun felonies from traffic stops but refuses to charge black people in the same circumstances, and the state legislators are trying to pass more 'gun reforms' at the same time. None of this addresses the tide of inner city gun crime, its like its purposefully designed to maximize the amount of gun violence.
3. Green energy is premised on people who have no sense of futurology, the kind of morons who in the 1800s thought eugenics was the next big thing. The reason we can rely on a finite resource is because it can scale up to meet our demands as we continue to develop newer and better energy sources, adaptation and mitigation technology that will serve to moot the doomsaying over climate change.
4. Release the Dobson files. We got Dobson here, look, its Dobson! See, nobody fucking cares.
5. Yeah too bad all infrastructure funds get instantly siphoned away by corrupt state/local politicians to scratch the backs of their business interests. $6.2 million in transportation funds were just taken by an Anoka DFL rep to build a river surfing and pedestrian bridge in the middle of fucksville next to the massive commuter tracks where we subsidize $116 per ticket on a $6 ticket for a train nobody rides. There is an infinite capacity for corruption that swallows up infrastructure spending.
6. Nobody gets paid the minimum wage. You can't wave a magic wand to raise wages, socialist price controls don't work and never have worked, you need to stoke domestic growth by controlling the factors that actually lead to job growth, like reducing the supply of foreign workers. If you want an entry level job in a manual labor market in America today you better speak spanish so your coworkers can understand you lmao
7. You can't tax American billionaires, all you can do is make more Irish billionaires. Its no wonder the superficial leftists hate the player not the game. If you want to take down wealth inequality and monopolization, you break up megacorporations with trustbusting.
