It absolutely is addictive and habit forming. At least in my experience, and others I've talked to about smoking and quitting.
Mental health and professional reasons, primarily.

Anything can technically be "addictive or habit forming" depending on the person, but it's not like nicotine or alcohol where it chemically changes your brain into requiring dependence. I've been smoking daily for many years and any time I've needed to quit for job reasons it's been the easiest thing to do with no side effects.

Regardless, I hope you're able to achieve what you want from this.

You should quit nicotine before weed

But wish you success on your mission regardless

Thank you ♥
That may be true, but for me, I graduated college last November, studied for some certs and started applying for jobs in March. I have applied to hundreds of jobs at this point, had a couple interviews with no further success, but not being able to pass a drug test is holding me back from a lot of great opportunities.
That's just one of the reasons I'm quitting, but a pretty major one.

Thank you wifey! That is definitely the hardest part. The sleeping is what gets to me the most. I wake up every hour drenched in sweat. Last time I literally had to get up in the middle of the night to change my sheets and put a towel down because my bed was soaked. But this too shall pass :)

It will pass wifey! Just like it passed when I quit drinking! I actually took a benadryl every night for a long time to help with the sleep! Just be careful because you can become dependent on the benadryl for sleep! It's best to ride it out naturally! :)

I've cut back significantly the past couple months in preparation of quitting. Today is day 1. Haven't taken any puffs. I have a tiny bit left that I hid, going to throw it away tonight so I can't be tempted. Went to the smoke shop today to pick up a vape (next bad habit that needs to go) and didn't even bother looking at the weed. Had a couple moments where I really wanted to smoke but I distracted myself and the cravings went away. I know it's going to get worse before it gets better, but I just wanted to put it out there to get it off my chest and hopefully help keep myself accountable. I've quit a couple times in the past, longest I've lasted was a month. I need it to stick this time!!

Cool story go on

It is a bummer, but I don't blame him! Especially if he's trying to overcome weed! He might have had some bad influences on here or temptations to make him want to smoke weed! :)

We'll probably see him again sometime though! :)
