this is more specific, to your edit, but tbh it is still kind of vague.

I'd argue that if you said something along the lines of 'i want term limits in congress and senate because despite the fact that presidents will probably be apart of the 50/50, mixing up the house/senate full of other potential people due to others becmoing ineligible due to their length of prior terms would allow more voices into the lawmaking and upholding process'

That’s just a policy difference. I’m not opposed to term limits. But term limits alone aren’t the answer. Our current political system ends up generally electing a majority of our officials during highly partisan primaries, not general elections. Candidates have very little incentive to moderate or compromise and our system tends to encourage more and more extremist candidates. Our political polarization isn’t strictly due to our 2-party system. I think the media plays a huge roll. But if we lessened the power or importance of the 2-parties it would undeniably help. Just making us cycle through highly partisan officials faster isn’t a great solution I’d argue.

The voters want the policies the top countries in education have for their kids..Like no private schools so the rich spend on schools besides the ones they use.. Also a free higher education...Free healthcare for the those that cannot afford it..A better way for immigrants to become legal .. higher tax rates for the 1% and lower tax rates for the low 40%.. Things that make sense..


Do any countries function like this currently?

Not necessarily. There are obvious differences and im wondering what people prioritize.

Most leftists complained about DOGE. Do you want bigger government? Is our government currently perfectly efficient with no waste?

Most leftists complain about ICE, do you want open borders?

Most leftists are pro choice. Are 9th month abortions cool in your book?


Basically what I’m asking is; if you have a grievance, what is YOUR alternative. What type of country do you want to live in if everything is so bad right now?

I always return my shopping carts because I’m not a lazy scumbag and the kids who fetch carts are not my slaves.

And are things ever going to hell in a handbasket quickly. Republican or Democrat, we all are getting increasingly fucked. Dynamic pricing everywhere. Electronic price tag rollouts at you biggest chains like Kroger and Walmart, ever increasing data collection on all of us with ads being shoved down our throat on everything. Ai being injected in everything to record everything about us.

There's far, far bigger things happening that's about to fuck us all and is already that seem to just be rolling on through while we a squabble about some trash.

Corporate greed is at an all time high and no ones stepping in to stop that freight train from running us all over.
