Ok so far lots of complaining about Trump & republicans and still no policies in sight.

Because it’s way too broad of a question. Even your comments elsewhere on what policy you want amounted mostly to “make stuff cheaper for me and make interest rates go down”. Which aren’t really policies.

Personally I’m fiscally moderately conservative and socially liberal. But moreso I naively think we should ascribe to the goal of good governance. People understandably view what could be beneficial through their own partisan lens. But what we’ve seen out of this administration is incredibly awful governance, whose only guiding principals are trump is awesome and whatever makes trump look tough is what they’re going to do.

It's not the religion that keeps the borders up. It's basic human instinct that fears outsiders and want to keep them out. And it's not xenophobia or anything. In Poland we welcome immigrants and real refugees, but refuse those who don't want to integrate to OUR culture, OUR ways. We refuse the violent immigrants from Africa and Middle East.

That’s pretty rational. I think having and preserving your own culture is perfectly fine, I’m more concerned with values. I don’t think we should allow people in who believe it’s okay to treat women as subordinates or slaves - for instance. If someone wants to pray and be proud of their culture that’s cool, as long as they share basic western human values.

It’s not that broad. What are you ideally voting on, what are the top 5 priorities you’d like to see enacted?

My priorities aren’t priorities for either major party. I think the biggest danger to our society by about 50,000 miles is the polarization and hyper partisanship we’re seeing. Much of it’s fed by weaponized media and misinformation. In terms of actual policies the things I want most are voting reforms to reduce the influence of our 2-party system and promote more centrist/moderate/reasonable candidates, namely: ranked choice voting, jungle primaries and non-partisan redistricting commissions. But those things aren’t happening, at least on a large scale. So beyond that I guess it’s which candidate at least has their constituents best interests at heart (or at least is something that’s a consideration).

Ok so we actually agree on this. I always feel like by voting one way I’m giving something else up, and vice versa.

Main reasons in my opinion.

1. Policy.

2. Kamala saying she wouldn’t change anything from the Biden years.

If the democrats just did executive orders in the last 6-12 months of Biden’s time in office to clean up the border, and if Kamala had an answer to “what would you change if elected” - democrats probably win. When costs are up, interest rates are up, and housing supply is down, people want change. They don’t care about the why, they care about how you’re going to fix it. When it came to the border all they did was cry about the republicans not putting their bill through.
