I'd say almost every band you mentioned was a gateway into what I like now, I still jam to old metalcore all the time.
My IRL friends don't venture outside of that genre very often besides when I get in the spotify group party.
I've started getting them to listen to technical metal a bit more to enjoy the precision and talent they have but it's a steep listening curve.
Lorna Shore seemed to have opened the normie gate into deathcore recently too.

I really like devil wears Prada as well, idk how I forgot them, easily one of my favorite bands

I like some heavier stuff but I’m still dipping my toes into that, I kinda like when they mix it up with singing and that’s probably why I lean more towards metal core than anything else

I've been re visiting Scary Kids Scaring Kids recently.
I used to love them so much, and every song is a nostalgic throw back to a past life.
I'm trying to think of a good band to introduce someone to techdeath but it all esclates pretty quickly lol.
If you like techy shit, but wanna keep the vocals light I'd go with ance Gavin Dance.
If you want that escalation I'd go with Archspire, Inferi, or Disembodied Tyrant.

is also a very seasoned person in the posthardcore/metalcore era of 2006-2018

Here is a site you can look up every genre and album by years.
Good tool when you're going back to find stuff.

Tried Relentless Mutation and Bleed the Future, really enjoyed Relentless Mutation, great melodies and crisp drums. Haven’t tried their first album yet.

This is one of my favorite live performances by Disembodied Tyrant.

"You guys wanna watch me bomb this fucking solo or what?" @ :55
Absolutely destroys it.
