IMGUR has blocked UK ip's presumably due to OSA regulations and as such we can't see images posted on d2jsp via copy/paste in topics or upload images via this host anymore.

This obviously presents a large problem for UK traders as we can't see any images in threads.

My suggestion is to change the image host for this function.

It's too late to edit my original post but i wanted to mention that VPN's aren't a solution to this problem either.. as we will run into login authentication problems, d2jsp suspecting suspicious behaviour or locking accounts..
I tried to post a topic with a different IMG host provider and i was greeted by a ''Detected VPN use, please turn off VPN to post this topic'' message. There must be a solution somewhere.. stupid OSA regs

This isn't at all associated to the site. Imgur isn't affiliated and isn't required it's just what a lot of folks use for hosting. While I sympathize with your plight, the only way around it would be for users to just use another host and the only way to force that would to block imgur which most likely won't happen.

It absolutely is associated with the site.

When we copy and paste an IMG into a text box in D2JSP which most users do in trade threads, this image is automatically uploaded to IMGUR and presented into the text box (a host which has been predetermined by d2jsp admins)

You are correct that the way around it would be for the site admins to simply switch auto uploads to another host, which considering i am sure there is an alternative to IMGUR which will work for all users would make sense.

Otherwise D2jsp is just dead to UK users. We cant see images posted in threads, we cant upload images to that site, we cant use a VPN because we instantly get logged out, have security issues and VPN warnings making us unable to post topics unless we turn them off and IMGUR blocks access to uploading IMG's with vpn enabled, we are greeted with a black screen with some html code only.

My 'plight' is an issue that D2jsp needs to address or else all UK users are just fucked.

My apologies, I was not aware of the auto uploading feature as I have been gone for quite some time. Due to this i didn't fully understand your post. I wish you the best of luck in getting this changed.

I hope a solution can be found also, it's unfortunate that the UK government has gone all internet safety nazi all of a sudden.. It started with adult content, which i somewhat understand for child online safety sure, but targetting image hosting sites which have nudity filters, security measures and policies of their own towards adult content? IMGUR said FU and just blocked UK isp's instead of enforcing age verification it would seem. I mean parental controls have existed from every major ISP for decades, it should've been down to the parents to monitor and restrict access in my opinion but hey ho here we are, not the first stupid decision my government has made in recent times and certainly wont be the last i'm sure.

Not though is it when i've clearly outlined why, that's just a facetious response to a problem that isn't your own. Imagine your government banned imgur tomorrow, i think you'd be up in arms about changing the image host that 95% of this website uses aswell since going into every single topic you're greeted with ''YOU CAN'T ACCESS THIS IMAGE IN YOUR COUNTRY'' how are we supposed to see items being posted or trade?

You're just being disagreeable and ignorant to something that doesn't affect you directly but that is impacting thousands of British d2jsp users and would make the website usable again for us.

Really it's impacting you because british traders are unable to post images of items or see yours so it could affect your item sales. I'm not asking for anything crazy here.. just that copy/paste images on d2jsp upload to another host instead.. that everyone can see and use, i shouldn't even have to suggest it, it's just a no brainer for d2jsp as a business to not alienate a portion of their userbase by doing something to fix a problem that's affecting the few that doesn't affect the experience for the many at all.
