Hey no judgement, just curious if yall had some specific reasons for staying in legacy d2. Is basically to avoid blizzard’s money grab? Lmk, just curious!

I tried D2R for a year but the slow load screens, terrible chat/friends list/channel system function and aesthetics were garbage. The graphics are okay but the look of the classes and animations are another downgrade. The game as a whole just came across as a low effort product from Blizzard.

Makes sense!

I heard there have been issues with the legacy servers though. Is the problem blown out of proportion or is it actually becoming increasingly difficult to play legacy d2? (Or maybe youre playing pd2?)

I agree on the chat/friends/channel system, and as far as the aesthetics go maybe some facial expressions are not what I imagined they would be (for example the Amazon that I thought of as more younger and vital instead of older and war-ridden), but given the complexity of the underlying game mechanics, I think it was an awesome job tbh. It's modern, yet not cartoonish like the plethora of d2 clones and d2-alike games that we've gotten over the years.

dont play legacy no more since i lost my gears and toons way too many times because of char expiration and namebots, dont even want to math the fg loss. i like some new things in d2r but not the fact that they fucking gutted all shapers with the ias change for whatever the fuck reason

Fhr is not triggered anymore by dmg % to target's Max hp, but randomly (from what I heard)
