thats the problem really. with no problems they dont see the need to compromise. they are the biggest bully in the playground and can practically do whatever they want, for now.
i agree, and to add more context i brought this up months ago when the "defund israel" talks started. we only provide something like 3% of their budget. so stopping it wont make a significant impact on their activity.
if i had my way i'd make an easy change that would send a signal to them. no more treasury buying with our aid package. and we need an itemized list of what it's spent on. i wouldnt even day 1 take it away. israel currently gets a boat load of literal cash, then buys US treasury bonds with it, accrues interest and they dump the bonds, then they spend it on stuff without even telling us what they spent it on. that's outrageous.
but hey, JFK asked for inspections on their nuclear sites, and i forget what happened to him just a few months later, but.....
