I just started diablo4 again after some seasons off, and have a new sorc.
For some reason I can only cast ball lightning every 5-10 seconds, like it has a recharge cooldown or something. I have enough mana etc to cast another, but the skill just turns grey?

What am I missing?

Edit. actually, I am dumb.

My mana cost is 85, and jumps to 110 after use - and I have total 100 mana.

I'm still missing something important.

You have to read the guides carefully. There are play style changes that take effect when you're using different gear. When you're just starting out, you're not going to have Tele up all the time due to no cool down reduction. No aspects reducing evade cooldown, no flickerstep, nothing. The folks at 200+ paragon with all of their gear, can achieve this with their cooldown reduction. You will not be able to right of the bat.

Without having more information, we cannot tell you why you cannot teleport without CD. Need more info.

Not sure if you’re following a guide or not, if you are I’d look to see what solution they have for mana. Sounds like maybe not using/dont have mana shield?

I’m guessing your using power siphon chaos perk without a way to regen mana fast enough.

Use invigorating and/or alternating currents and use blizz/ball/basic/ball rotation until you have mana shield.

I actually used alternating currents with hydra/ball lightning as I got isis while leveling, but it’s not effective beyond t1 really and have to focus on one or the other unless you have a ton of +core gear, and even then it’s far less effective than focusing on one or the other.
