Do you consider yourself a liberal @pyrotechx
1. willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas.
2.
relating to or denoting a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.
Gun control goes against the definition of liberal. (Individual rights)
Silencing, censoring, and protesting differing opinions goes against the definition of liberal. (Respecting differing opinions)
Both of these are supported by modern day “liberals” who are basically just authoritarians in disguise.
Nope, not a liberal. I am for gun reform, not gun control. You can have gun reform without impacting a person's right to bear arms. If it takes a person 2 weeks to get a gun over 2 hours, that is fine with me if it ensures mentally unstable individuals are vetted first.
Protesting does NOT go against liberal ideology, btw. It is literally enshrined in our constitution the right to protest. You can protest whatever you want. That is AMERICAN.
Liberals are not authoritarians in disguise. You know what is authoritarian?
-Trump's own FCC threatening ABC unless they remove Kimmel.
-Trump himself saying they will sue ABC for bringing back Kimmel.
-The people who doxxed and demanded firings of individuals because they had their feelings hurt by people who said Charlie Kirk wasn't a good person (prob not authoritarian, but embarassing and sad for the supposed "freedom of speech" crowd).
-Trump sending literal troops to states that he deems an emergency to attack citizens and Trump himself saying they could use full force if necessary(when there is none or there is higher crime in red states).
-Trump's ICE deporting American Citizens.
-Trump's grip on GOP to make sure they don't release the epstein files.
-I can go on.
That is authoritarian.
So, spare me.
