a question to the people in the US:
do you feel disgusted how both sides, the left and the right use the assasination of a father for their political agendas?
I critize the left for portraying Kirk as an fascist. He was not. He always searched a discussion, was respecting elections and did stand up for the freedom of the word. He had views which you can label as radicalbut the way he wanted to raise them up in society wasnt extreme. He wanted to let this views win in elections over a time so that society can shift threw politics.
Now what must be said about the right: you try to make a martyr out of Kirk. You try to use this incident so you can shut down people with other opinions. Kirk did always fight that he was able to say, waht he wanted to say. He would hate this. As a beliving Christ he would also hate that he is used like a holy figure for politics because this is called blasphemyand it is a serious sin.
If one neighbor has his dog poop in my back yard but doesn't pick it up, and another neighbor breaks into my home through a window, rapes my wife and stabs my kids, I'd say I don't really find it a 'both sides' issue
Republicans went a bit overboard on trying to cancel people instead of just shaming them. Democrats went a bit overboard on assassinating someone for his political opinions and pissing on his grave.
