Then wait if he opens the claim here and provide your version of the story. Do not delete any messages you have exchanged. Keep screen shots if you have them, copy game chat if it still accessible.

I've heard stories about this but never had such bug in my games. Most of characters I play have full stash and inventory filled with items. Not only 1x1 items like rings but full of items. If this bug still exists - it should be easy to reproduce by filling private tab in stash and all inventory with rare rings.

A person just pmed me that this same guy said the same thing to him when he traded him some unid jewels.. i asked this person to post in this thread so i hope he will

I had it happen ages ago on a char that pretty much had exclusively crafted rings/ammys. have been more careful since then

Rare/crafted rings/amulets have more properties and thus need more bytes to store that info. This might explain the overflow. And that Blizz are lazy as usual.

ì see, but what do I do now? I havnt done anything wrong and Im getting accused in pms that its my fault hes gear dissapeared and the rings i dropped "poofed".. I dont want this guy to get locked if hes not trying to scam and making this shit up but i have to protect myself and create this thread. But what can i do now?

he put too many 1 slot items in his stash and store file exceeded 9kb therefore poofing gear until it reached 9kb file size again
