If you posted it here in d2r discussions, there is no reason why it wouldn't be found in your search history, as you haven't been posting that much in this section.
The only reason why a topic would be completely removed is when users go as far as sharing other people's real life info. But even then mods usually just censor the controversial post (not the whole topic) and they close the topic (not remove it completely) as happened many times with Cstrike. Only a few rare times did Cstrike's topics actually get removed as opposed to closed and that was when people here would expose his info massively.
However, Cstrike showed up much after TZ introduction, so i can't think of other reason why a topic would be removed
