In the case of my X girlfriend there was definitely past trauma that was severe that she hadn't worked through with a psychologist yet

I didn't really understand that until 19 months into talking to her though.

We were in the " Talking stage " of the relationship for basically 19 months until I went to Encinitas / Oceanside California and saw her in person for 3 weeks. She told me some stuff in July (my first day there was July 10th, then I saw her July 11th - and basically we hung out for 3 weeks straight - because she didn't have a job at the time but now she's working as a journeymen electrician), but she told me some stuff on July 18th, and that's why I think what I think now.
